2 Servings
As someone who values both delicious and healthy food to fuel my workouts and training sessions in weightlifting and jiu-jitsu, I'm always on the lookout for nutritious recipes that don't compromise on flavor. This Protein-Packed Air Fryer Chicken Breast with Herb Crust is a go-to in my kitchen. It's tender, juicy, and infused with aromatic herbs, making it a satisfying meal that supports my active lifestyle.
1 lb lean ground beef
1 cup finely grated carrots
1/2 cup finely chopped bell pepper
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Cooking spray or oil mister
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, grated carrots, bell pepper, onion, rolled oats, egg, garlic, smoked paprika, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Use your hands to form the mixture into golf ball-sized balls, packing them tightly.
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly mist the protein balls with cooking spray or oil mister.
Place the protein balls in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between them for even cooking.
Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the protein balls are cooked through and have a nice golden-brown crust.
Remove the protein balls from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
